The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising consumers not to purchase or use LiDa DaiDaiHua Slimming Capsule, a product promoted for weight loss. This product was identified by FDA during an examination of international mail shipments.
FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Li Da Dai Dai Hua Slimming Capsule contains sibutramine. Sibutramine is a controlled substance that was removed from the market in October 2010 for safety reasons. The product poses a threat to consumers because sibutramine is known to substantially increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate in some patients and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, or stroke. This product may also interact, in life-threatening ways, with other medications a consumer may be taking.

1.Daidaihua (Bitter orange)
Daidaihua is employed in herbal medicine as a stimulant and appetite suppressant, due to its active ingredient, synephrine. The extract of bitter orange has been marketed as dietary supplement purported to act as a weight-loss aid and appetite suppressant. Bitter orange contains the tyramine metabolites. It is claimed that bitter orange is an effective aid to weight loss and a safe alternative to ephedra.
2.India lotus leaf
Lotus leaf has traditionally been a sacred plant to the Buddhists and Hindus; the flower symbolizes divinity, beauty and purity. In Hinduism the sacred lotus is associated with mother goddesses as a symbol of fertility. When the test subjects were given a lotus leaf extract prepared with hot water and taurine, their overall absorption of fat and carbohydrates decreased, and they burned existing fat at a faster rate.
3.Cassia Seed
Cassia seeds are bitter, sweet and salty in flavor. Cassia seed extract is beneficial in problems related to intestine, liver, large intestine and vision.
